Up for some romance? Why don’t you and your beloved one team-up for a romantic day away or evening out at the ice rink? Fun guaranteed! Up until March 2nd, the Olympic Stadium is transformed into an ice skating paradise ‘De Coolste Baan van Nederland!, with a 400 meter Grand Oval rink and traditional Dutch winter delicacies like ‘koek en zopie’ and a ‘stampotten restaurant’. Ice skates can be rented and lessons are offered. Every evening has a different theme, Tuesdays are ‘Amsterdam Nights’ with music from Amsterdam, beers and the well-known Van Dobben-kroket- sandwiches.

No romance at all? Don’t bother, even for you there’s so much to do in Amsterdam. Go visit The Stedelijk Museum until the 15th of March where they host the internationally renowned interior designer Marcel Wanders – Pinned Up! The exhibition presents designs from Wanders’ entire oeuvre, ranging from the late 1980s to the present. More than 400 objects will be on display and will encompass furniture, lamps, utensils, cutlery, wallpaper, packaging, and jewelry. Wanders is also an art director and, since 2001, has worked in that capacity for Moooi, the successful interior label of which he is co-founder.
